Thanks.!!! *Job Description: 051233: Systems Administrator* *Work Location: Anaheim, CA * *Duration: 6+ Months* *Rate: $50/hr. on C2C* *GC and USC Only* *Position Details:* Experienced in the area of Information Technology and Responsible for providing technical system administration to include installs, adding, changing, configuration and ongoing maintenance for the Infrastructure. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and develop and implement solutions. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, meeting deadlines and responding to customer requests in a timely manner. Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation working with Law enforcement sensitive data. Candidate must be able to work shift, weekends, on-call and emergency operations for routing disaster and training exercises, sponsored and non-sponsored by the customer. *Skills Required:* MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, resourcefulness, and an ability to prioritize tasks. Personal initiative is important, as is the ability to work with other team members. Ability to work in a fast paced environment; focus on customer service in a managed services environment reporting to multiple levels of command. Ability to coach and mentor lower level administrators to help them gain the technical knowledge and skills to support systems and improve the overall support model for day to day work activities. *Minimum Required Skills:* • 7+ years as a Systems Administrator in a diverse Operating systems environment for a large networked environment supporting over 1,000 users • Expert communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues, requests or requirements to leadership • Ability to interact with a diverse group of technical resources • Developing requirements, builds, design and engineering for systems and environments • Maintaining and support backup solutions for both production environment and disaster recovery in desperate locations • 5 to 7 years working with TCP/IP, networking technologies, various VPN solutions, trouble ticket system, cabling systems • 5 to 7 years working with Data Center operations, climate control, configuration and supporting the day to day operating requirements • Advanced knowledge of managing and maintaining EMC SAN solutions. • 3 years administration experience of Microsoft Exchange 2010 • 5 to 7 years working with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Microsoft) • 5 to 7 years administration experience of Window Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 • 5 to 7 years managing a complex Active Directory environment • Demonstrates superior problem solving skills • Remain patient and professional at all times. • Experience with desktop, laptop and mobile devices *Preferred Skills:* • 5+ years working for State and Local government organization • Experienced with software distribution and auditing utilizing automated tools such as SCCM • Past experience working in an outsourcing engagement • MCSE or other Microsoft Certification • VCP5-DCV Certification *Optional Skills:* • Knowledge and background with SUSE Linux • Linux certification a plus • Leadership skills and competences *Job responsibilities:* • Work with a diverse team of system administrators in the support of Enterprise Operations for a Mid-range team. • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware in the server environment. • Primary point of contact for design, implementation and planning new projects, implementations, upgrades to the Infrastructure (VMWare, EMC SAN, Exchange, System Center, Active Directory, Software distribution, tools such as Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) and the complement of the Microsoft suite of software and utilities • Well rounded, established system admin with keen abilities to provide Architectural guidance and support for the customer • Respond to queries either in person or over the phone. • Develop training and work level instruction manuals for the environment and teams • Order equipment, design, build and deploy systems in the environment • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help. • Ask questions to determine nature of problem. • Create requirements for project level work • Work with core HP Team to support the customer roadmap, inventory and changes to the environment • Lead change efforts, ensuring teams are creating required documentation to discuss changes to the environment • Work with 3rd party vendors to fully understand install and support requirements for systems • Work with end-user and other support staff to resolve connectivity issues *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:* No Remote No Travel Possible extension for multiple years. In addition to the standard HP Background Check and Drug screening, the candidate must be able to pass a background investigation conducted by Anaheim Police Department or their designated agency to support systems which may include a polygraph. Candidate will be required to work on a rotating on-call shift which includes evenings and weekends to meet service levels and support requirements. Candidate must work onsite at the customer location and will be required to be mobile to support the environment, work with the HP Leadership team and City Officials.
