* Semiconductor Industry Business Analyst Redwood City, CA - 2 Positions (Start Date – mid Oct)* *Client: Cognizant Technology Solutions* Job Duties : Analyze user requirements to develop, implement, and support company systems and software. Design, implement, or select software tools which fit with a cohesive tool strategy for delivering the company's products. Responsible for functional requirements gathering, demonstrating the software and testing the solution. Conduct business requirements analysis using semiconductor industry best practices. Perform fit/gap analysis and work with solution architect to estimate effort. Document the requirements in the client’s format, and identify process improvements. Assist with data mapping and basic application configuration. Design system processes and configurations. Work closely with Solution Architect and other team members on design, data gathering and testing activities. Define system property and resource changes based on client specifications. Create plan for and execute unit tests with assistance from other team members. Plan, facilitate and assist client with user acceptance testing. Provide input to improve the process of delivering solutions to clients. Share suggestions and knowledge with team members to optimize implementation methodology. Deliver quality project tasks and deliverables on time and within budget. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Specific Skills: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a business analyst-related or computer-related occupation. Revenue management processes such as incentive and rebate management, pricing, and contracting for Semiconductor / Hi-Tech industry 2. Writing detailed functional business requirements and documentation of System Requirements Specifications, User Manuals, Use Cases, Test Cases, System design and Process Flow diagrams using Project Life Cycle templates. 3. Software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Scrum or Waterfall 4. Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, data trends, and building visuals to represent data 5. Relational databases for data storage and analysis including using SQL for data extraction and management * Nice to have: *1. Design, testing/QA, and implementation of technical software applications and system tools 2. Identifying, logging, tracking and managing software and application defects 3. Quality Assurance (QA) tools like HP Quality Center, Mantis, JIRA, or SDR bug tracker 4. HTML, XHTML, and XML 5. Enterprise level applications such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) 6.
