*Job Description :*

The resource should be familiarized and good at the below mentioned
activities.

·         Install MQ on Windows servers

·         Understand the vendor software installation/configuration document

·         Installation and configuration of vendor applications

·         Post installation configuration

·         Creating QMGRS

·         Create MQ queues

·         Creating channels

·         Creating listeners

·         Creating clusters

·         Adding QMGR objects to cluster

·         Adding a new queue manager to cluster

·         Removing an existing queue manager object from cluster

·         Removing an existing queue manager from cluster

·         Creating a queue manager using existing queue manager as a
template(saveqmgr and amqoamd)

·         Create broker

·         Setting MB Workspace

·         Data source creation for Broker + Restart

·         Troubleshooting/analyzing MQ logs

·         Recreating a queue manager when the Log files get corrupted

·         Investigate FDC files

·         Investigate MQ issues

·         Investigate hung execution groups and message flow

·         Investigate Issues related to services deployed in Broker

·         Testing services using SOAPUI/RFHUTIL/requestAppNL scripts

·         Deploy one bar file(with an average 5 flows) in one Broker

·         Setting up startup scripts for MQ

·         Setting up connectivity between applications and MQ

·         Suspending Queue managers from cluster

·         Setting up EMR alerts for MQ

·         Setting up queue manager backup

·         Start/Stop Queue Manager

·         Start/Stop Listener

·         Start/Stop Channel

·         Linear log maintenance request

·         Modifying attributes for QM.ini for queue managers

·         Modifying .profile for mqm user to setup environment variables
for LIBPATH, error log settings, tune shared memory usage etc

·         Setting up client definition table and provide the application
team

·         Run Broker trace

·         Restart Broker and config manager

·         Reload Execution groups

·         Modify properties of broker through command line for tuning and
other purposes

·         Start and Stop message flows

·         Enabling/Disabling Put/Get on Queues

·         Catch the COBOL request and responses which are being sent and
received from mainframe respectively

·         Performance tuning of queue managers

·         Investigate performance issues of Broker or message flows

·         Granting/Revoking permissions on queue manager objects

·         Setting up SSL between Queue managers

·         Setting up SSL between application and Queue managers

·         Create certificate for applications and users (through RFHUTIL)
to connect to queue manager

·         Setup SSL for broker

·         Creating/Reviewing implementation plan for MQ related projects
for Production implementation

·         Creating/Reviewing implementation plan for Broker related
projects for production implementation

·         Knowledge transition to support team

·         Creating the build documentation

·         MQ Migration

·         Full Repository migration for one Queue Manager

·         POC based on the architectural design on the lower region
