Understanding of infrastructure-as-code. 2. Understanding of DevOps concepts. 3. Some hands-on experience or good familiarity with Puppet. 4. Some Unix system administration experience. Soft skills: Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated appetite to improve current conditions, specifically in the area of server management. Responsibilities: 1. Maintain the availability of these services within the XOPS Core Services team: a. LDAP b. DNS c. DHCP d. Puppet infrastructure e. NTP f. MTA 2. Advance the state of the above services to greater transparency, availability, and responsiveness to changing environmental demands. 3. Be able to work in a team environment of 6-8 engineers on the XOPS Core Services team and with application development teams to initiate and deliver improvements. 4. Production support may require after-hours response and remediation. Provide deployment support for compute-related infrastructure (both physical & virtual) Overall maintenance of the compute infrastructure in both production and preproduction environments.
