Develop must provide their own computer and software licenses. *JD* Client Service mandates the development of a system to record and track real time fire occurrence throughout North Carolina. The system shall consist of six modules: 1) An Incident Dashboard to contain real time critical events, resources, fire map, fire map side bar and specific information for each active fire, 2) An Intelligent module to set Readiness Plans based on weather and indices, view weather indices, set status of resources, reassign people to non-default equipment, determine adjective rating, include Good To Go list, and display Readiness Plan map and Adjective Rating map, 3) A Smoke Management/Prescribed Fire Reporting module, 4) An Activity Report (Signal 14) module, 5) A Duty Roster module to log and track by day who has designated duties, and 6) An Aircraft Duty/Status module to allow for scheduling of aviation resources. The system will also contain various administrator utilities and reports, and include a portal viewable by the public with pertinent statewide fire information. The successful candidate should be familiar with all aspects of software development including data, business logic, and presentation tier skills. This position will also be responsible for technical documentation of the newly developed system. *Description (including, but not limited to): *1. Review the existing business requirements and application design document with NCFS Business Owner to develop a clear understanding of the requirements. 2. Develop, and fully test, the six modules of the Daily Incident Activity Log System based on existing business requirements and application design document specifications, NCDA&CS Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) Software Development and Database standards, and State Division of Information Technology Services (OITS) architecture standards. Development to include: a. Analysis, design, coding, component/assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team b. Data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions, maintenance (production support) c. Developing system and user documentation 3. Attend weekly project status meetings with the Agency Project Manager and NC Forest Service staff to gauge project progress and present software deliverables to the project team for review. 4. Provide a weekly status report. 5. Adhere to a project schedule and milestones as developed jointly by NC Forest Service Staff, Agency Project Manager, and Developer; work within an Agile development environment. 6.
