*Responsibilities:*
Work with business analysts to optimize information and analytic usage,
focused on providing quick and actionable intelligence.
Define, design, develop, deliver and support new or existing ETL data
solutions to meet business user requirements.
Perform data analysis against business requirements.
Provide work estimates and communicate status of assignments.
Ensure compliance with department practices, processes and enterprise
standards.
Help drive the consistency in data development and workload scheduling.
Meet and communicate with users to clarify or refine requirements.
Operational support and flexible to manage high severity incidents during
off business hours.
*Required Skills*
Understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts,
processes and methodologies.
Expertise with SQL programming, relational databases, data modeling and
data retrieval methodologies
Strong team player with willingness to collaborate
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong capability to execute tasks with quality
Strong conceptual and logical
Extensive experience with the design and development of ETL data
integration solutions
Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues with DataStage
Ability to respond to incidents by analysis and resolve in a timely fashion
Ability to work on multiple simultaneous assignments, having a high comfort
level with assignment prioritization changes
Ability to perform critical soft skills including: active listening and
verbal communication skills, strong business writing ability, flexible and
adaptable attitude, can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and
timelines, ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources,
including other teams.
Ability to work in an agile development environment
Strong customer service orientation
Demonstrated attention to detail
*Required Experience*
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT in a technology role, including at
least two years of experience in a BI ETL development role
2 or more years of experience writing * SQL queries*
Experience with the following databases and technologies:
* Teradata Technologies*
* IBM DataStage 8.x and above*
Good time management skills
Strong conceptualization, analytical and logic skills
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
Experience in performance tuning queries is a plus
