Job Title: Senior Build and Release Engineer Duration : 12 Months
Location: St Louis MO *PREFER US CITIZENS AND GREENCARD HOLDERS. IF THE CANDIDATES ARE ON H1B, THEY MUST BE LOCAL.* *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:* · Responsible to support initiatives associated with the integration of the Automic Application Release Automation (ARA) solution · Maintain ARA Software support and provide escalation to Automic and Clients leadership for issues and problem resolution · Establish ARA roles, governance and maintain system access · Work with vendor to establish and maintain application lifecycle roadmap. Communicate to leadership and ARA customer base · Write and maintain ARA library of approved scripting artifacts for automated workflows. Work with IT teams to obtain and create new process artifacts as needed. · Create and maintain integration interfaces to other Client tools such as Service Now, HP ALM, etc. · Maintain library of Standard Operating Procedures for consistent and effective operation · Provide ongoing best practices and application support knowledge transfer to co-workers. Train application teams on development and scripting process. On-board new application teams as required. · Provides input to procedures for monitoring; receives alerts, evaluates diagnoses and establishes work plan to resolve system issues · Act as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration · Keep current with trends and technological innovations in the Cable and IT industry, and make appropriate development recommendation · Identify risks associated with component or application implementation · Rotating On-Call Duties *DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* · Strong understanding of Enterprise Architectures, Java and Database solutions · DevOps skills across SCM, Static Code Analyzer, Build and Release, Continuous Integration tools and frameworks such as, Git, ANT, Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, Artifactory · Familiarity with WebLogic Scripting using WLST, PowerShell Scripting, REST and SOAP Web Services, JIRA, Confluence and Splunk · Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across all environments · Experience in managing the release processes, application health check analysis, and keeping track of production metrics · Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting, Java, Python, Jenkins, Git, Maven · Experience administering application servers, servlet containers, and web servers (WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, etc.) · Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environments · Good troubleshooting, analytical and client interfacing skills · Must be self-motivated and a self-starter, able to work independently on a project from start to finish with little supervision and deliver finished product within projected times · Must be able to multi-task efficiently and adjust priorities accordingly · Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools · Sound database experience in SQL server, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle · Strong know-how of operating systems such as Windows, Linux & UNIX *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* 5+ years experience designing or configuring systems and/or applications 3+ years Relational Database Design and Maintenance 2 years of exposure setting-up and configuring Build, Release and Continuous Integration to best practices Familiarity with Automic Application Release Automation (ARA) /UC4 One Automation Familiarity with BMC Remedy Change Management, Service Now or similar tools Thanks & Regards Arjun Mallik- Sr Executive Recruiter Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
