*Role:* Senior Web Developer – contract thru end of the year *Location:* Little Rock (72211) *Top skills:* .NET development C#, MVC (we’re on 5 but don’t need 5), Entity Framework, SQL (not a DBA obviously, but knowledgeable as most developers would be). Communication is very important to us. Other skills- Web API, JavaScript, JSON, LINQ *Nice to have:* SSIS, SSRS *Project:* Transpar – Insurance is pretty regulated on our product by the states, and we’re creating a repository that will contain product info, and what’s approved to sell where, and how to sell it. *Team:* The team is more junior of nature and they need someone that can help with some standards & best practices. Mentor younger guys. *Interview Process: * Coding exercise that we run them through. Then an interview with the hiring manager. Then a team interview. This is the same technical profile as the lead below, however just needs to be a mid-level solid developer. *Primary Purpose: * Provide overall design and development leadership to one or more web development teams. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of local or outsourced web developers to develop and implement company eBusiness applications. *Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience. Minimum of 10 years work experience. Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field with 5 years of experience is also acceptable. *Preferred: * *Experience with the following technologies* ASP.NET MVC, C#, Web API, JavaScript & JSON, Entity Framework/LINQ, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server *Experience with the following principles and concepts* Model View Controller architecture OOP design principles Test Driven Development Agile Development Methodology Technical Documentation *Duties: * List primary duties and responsibilities of the job using present tense action verbs, in order of importance and with percentage of time spent on each duty / responsibility. Include differentiating statements based on level of job. If this is a management level position, include supervisory and budget responsibilities. Codes, test, identify, implement and documents technical solutions to business challenges utilizing web and related technologies. Perform design and analysis for deliverables and may lead larger team design sessions. Identify task associated significant development efforts. Research and stay current on best practices in the technology industry as well as emerging technology. Serve as a subject matter expert for a wide range of areas, applications, and technologies. Provide effort estimates for large projects. Proactively recommend solutions which take into consideration costs, business needs, and system impacts. Leads analysis and general architectural design across platforms towards the development of end-to-end solutions Facilitate technical decision making and when necessary act as the decision authoring considering input from all stakeholders Establish team standards for quality processes and methods. Requires both technical leadership and collaboration skills with significant interaction with various business groups. Participate on committees or projects to help define organization wide standards, processes, and guidelines. Provide technical leadership to web development staff, including contract and off-shore developers. Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs.
