The qualified candidate will possess 6-10 years of experience in three major areas, including: Principle Architect Experience, .NET, Java and/or Mobile Platforms Experience, and SOA Architecture. *Description:* The Solutions Architect is a highly seasoned senior technologist who has led multiple projects through the Software development process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle. This position organizes the implementation effort for any given solutions, including defining, directing, and enforcing the implementation and use of the technology, data, applications, and infrastructure to be employed for IT solutions and projects; identifies and evaluates emerging technologies for their applicability to business solutions. *Responsibilities for this Position Include:* *RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Provide hands-on technical leadership and expertise on business systems architecture, application integration and development initiatives, transforming business requirements into actionable technical specification and crafting appropriate, cost-effective, and logical solutions. - Work closely with business and IT Leadership to understand technology and business strategy and implement tactical plans supporting those strategies at the project level. - Responsible for solution scoping, estimation, planning, and oversight of development, integration and implementation of projects including evaluation of external products and services as part of architecture and product selection lifecycle. - Coordinates with IT Governance to ensure that architecture solutions follow best practices, internal standards, and are developed pragmatically. Supports contributors in execution and delivery of architecture tasks. - Responsible for the customer satisfaction with IT services. *QUALIFICATIONS:* - Bachelor Degree – Computer Science or related business discipline. - 6-10 years’ experience in serving as an architect within a medium to large company or consulting organization including 2 years in a principal architect role. - 6-10 years’ experience crafting solutions with .NET, Java and/or mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. Deep understanding of one or more of the technologies with exposure to the others. - Firm understanding of the different integration patterns utilized in SOA architectures. Experience creating multi-tier designs as well as system interface implementation designs; experience with various middleware technologies required (EAI, MoM, SOA, etc.). - Ability to help development teams troubleshoot issues at not only the software level but also within the container, server, network and cross system level. - Must have experience in managing complex projects which involve interaction with other systems and departments, including proven experience developing detailed design and architecture documentation, test plans, estimating technology project efforts. - Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (waterfall, Agile) with a deep technical understanding of software development in the areas of legacy, web, data, infrastructure (compute, storage, network), and SOA technologies. - Proven track record of maintaining focus of project teams to ensure meeting project objectives. - Must be able to organize and facilitate meetings involving appropriate groups in relation to project activities. - Knowledgeable in emerging technologies and technical opportunities for use in business processes to meet business objectives or to gain competitive advantage. - Strong communication skills; is comfortable in presenting to business and technology leaders. - Demonstrated high level of integrity, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong sense of confidence to deliver on responsibilities.
