Only USC or GC Absolute MUSTS: · 5+ years business-class application development - really looking for experienced/senior people who have built moderate to complex business-class applications incorporating basic control functions like workflow and business rules to help business users (Agents) make informed business decisions to help solve customer issues (i.e., presenting lots of information in a useful manner with no visible display delays) · Primary operating environment is Desktop presented through Citrix (Winforms & WPF) - please note, many candidates are going to be promoting their Web development experiences (e.g., Angular...). We need Desktop · MS stack - WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), C#, SQL Server and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) · Please note that the core of all our applications is heavy, heavy, heavy on the backend so: · WCF, C# and SQL are really critical. · Moving to a SOA architecture so programming with Micro Services and REST-based APIs are also critical · Please note that 2 of the 3 applications also require a solid experience base with UI programming so: · WPF is critical · Programming experience with PRISM and Global Conceptual UI Framework design patterns like MVVM (Model View View Model) or MVC (Model View Controller) are essential Bonus Experiences: · All of our applications are developed using the Agile methodology. We have found having some experience with Agile has made the transition into the team that much more smooth; so this is preferred. · Exposure to Workflow programming and Rules engine programming a bonus; specifically IBM BPM (Business Process Management) and ODM (Operational Decision Management) a plus. Please note, this is a plus, but not necessary. Many programmers write this kind of logic in-line as these tools are expensive and require separate expertise that companies don’t invest in. Therefore, during your interviews, please explore the kind of development they did to see if you can get them to explain the kind of application they built. If they talk about workflow and rules constructs, then they most likely understand and have the analytical background that we are looking for. If not, that will most likely be a sign that they have limited business-class application development experience. · Exposure to Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architectures a plus. We use Data Power. Other (Specific User Experience Specialist): · When we met, I talked about a unique position we are also looking for. This is the Senior level Designer, Architect, Developer “User Experience” specialist. This is an extremely senior level position. This person is truly a “student” of user experience design/architecture. They are very rare and hard to find. They will have (*) all of the front end UI skills from above and (*) a uniquely written resume tailored to highlighting their expertise in user experience design and development. Our Environment: · SQL 2008 R2 · .Net 4.0 for Desktop running on Citrix -- (migrating to 4.5 in Feb at least on the web servers only) · Visual Studio 2015 Other: · Ideally, we would like to have as an option to flip to full-time.
