I am the Director of Talent Acquisition at Sonoma Consulting and I am currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for a Java Support Consultant position that will be based out in Oshkosh, WI. *Job Title: Java Support Consultant* *Location: Oshkosh, WI* *Duration: 6-12+ Months* This is a support role. The architecture has been done on the project. They are looking for a strong developer who likes the support role. This is a role where the priorities shift throughout the day so there may be some needs that suddenly pop up. They need someone willing to roll with that. Client is developing a support utility that runs through JDE then through an integration layer-then out to the warranty layer. They deal with truck parts for the military. They are running multiple SQL queries all day long so they get failure messages, errors etc. They need someone who can write java class objects that will automate things in the future so anyone from admin can run the queries (like someone who does not have a Java background). They will be running the query against a source system and pulling queries together and putting them into the application. They have an Oracle, Linux and AS400 environment there. Also standard SQL and if they know Linux it is best because the servers are running on Linux. They need to know how to pull files off the servers. They will give the person the design docs they already have in place and the reconciliation is already in place. They work with 30-40 tables and the information is already architected. It is not necessary for the person to have a manufacturing background but it might be helpful. *They will be querying against source and destination systems and files, merging queries to present and then joining sets.
