Description
· PMI Certification;· Experience in the development of a
detailed project plan with timelines in *MS project*;· The ability
to clearly communicate with project team and provide written updates to
management;· Experience in organizing meetings and documenting
requirements;· Experience in developing test cases for use in
testing the developed product;· Demonstrated ability in the
following nine (9) additional project manager competencies:
· *Project Initiation and Solution Analysis*· *Activity
Definition and Sequencing*· *Project Execution and Control*·
*Request for Proposal (RFP) Processes*· *Procurement
Planning *·
*Cost Benefit and Return on Investment (ROI) Analysis*· *Vendor
Evaluation*· *Performance Planning*· *Project Closeout*
· Proven experience with managing more than one (1) vendor;·
Demonstrated ability to coordinate between multiple agencies and project
teams;· Demonstrated team building and leadership skills;·
Effective
relationship management skills;· Effective communication skills in
both verbal and written form to all levels of management;· Working
knowledge of industry accepted methodologies, policies, standards,
procedures and practices;· Minimum of eight (8) years of project
management leadership in a relevant functional or technical field;· The
skills to excel in all project manager competencies;· The ability
to confidently speak at public meetings and testify before the State
Legislature;· Extensive risk management and quality assurance
experience;· The ability to handle complex management environments
with multiple vendors, agencies, stakeholders and matrix accountability
structures;· A positive, determined, patient attitude when dealing
with people;· The ability to be a proactive facilitator; and·
The ability to balance creativity, problem solving and technical skills to
realize project success.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project
Management Institute (PMI).o A Master’s Degree or equivalent combination
of education and experience in a relevant discipline.o Demonstrates
extensive knowledge of industry accepted methodologies, policies,
standards, procedures and practices.o Managed multiple vendors in
difficult and challenging situations.o Demonstrates extensive
coordination abilities between business and technology groups such as, but
not limited to: agencies; technical operations; capacity planning;
strategic planning, systems development, enterprise architecture and
finance.o Easily articulates opportunities and leverages relationships
between agencies, vendors, contractors and committees.
