*Role: VMware Horizon View Administrator in NYC.* *F2F interview* *6+ months * We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of VMware Horizon View Administrator for a 6-month contract to permanent opportunity. *Engagement Location, Hours and Duration:* *The engagement will take place at our NYC location. Consultant during this engagement is expected to travel 10% within the 5 boroughs of NYC. * *Principal Duties and Responsibilities * · Setup, configure and deploy VMware-based systems for high-availability and efficiency, including vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi v5.x, Horizon View VDI. · ThinApp production applications and printing capabilities. · Leverage virtualization capabilities to further automate systems management, analysis, and performance monitoring. · Responds to and logs end user support calls *Qualifications / Required Skill:* · 2-3 years of VDI experience · Epic implementation or support experience · Knowledge about VMware View on Hyperspace. · Interpersonal skills (problem resolution, contention management) · In-depth knowledge of deployment techniques (vmware, sccm, etc). · Advanced windows server and desktop troubleshooting skills. · Advanced knowledge of networking technologies to include; routing, dns, active directory. · Batch file and command line skills · Core VMware technology skills including experience with VMware v5.x, vCenter, Application Virtualization, Desktop Virtualization (VMware Horizon/View/Thinapp/ based systems). · Experience deploying, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtualized server and desktop environments. · Deep knowledge in: Application Packaging (ThinApp and Cloud Volumes) · In-depth knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience in Window 7 and Windows 8.x; should be well versed with log files related Application Deployment and OS deployment.
