Job Title: Senior QA Engineer (open source tools emphasis) Location : Plano TX
Duration: 6+ Months Mode of interview : phone and Face to Face Responsibilities: • Review business requirements and specifications for consistency in quality standards and preparation for automation scripting and testing. • Architecting and implementing automation framework level enhancements and solutions. • Maintain and improve automation framework and create required usability documentation. • Solving complex code problems to maintain an error free, minimal maintenance test automation solution. • Writing automation scripts for Java Services and SaaS Web Applications using automation tools preferably open source. • Write and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Execute automation scripts for both functional and regression tests. • Automate Data Validation Tests. • Work with release engineering to create/maintain automated nightly build verification test (BVT). • Analyze issues/defects and work with various teams until closure. Key Result Areas: Qualifications & Experience: • 4 year Degree in Computer Science or Related Field • 3 years Hands-On SQL Experience • 7 years Quality Assurance Testing • 7 years scripting/coding experience using test automation tools for functional and regression testing – (preferably open source tools) including, but not limited to, Robot Framework, Selenium, SoapUI Pro, AutoIT, Sahi Pro, etc. • Experience with programming/scripting Python and Java. • Hands on experience with Robot/Selenium automation framework is a plus. • Have an understanding of the utilization of automation performance testing. • Strong written/oral communication skills; ability to articulate thoughts/opinions on tools/processes clearly. • Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural engineering team.
