*They will work on designing, implementing and maintaining the middleware
infrastructure and Software in support of business processing requirements.*







Role Responsibilities:



Design, implement and maintain middleware software implementation plans to
include installing, configuring, and maintaining Middleware Software
(Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat) in support of business processing requirements.

Design, build, and maintain projects from a technical aspect, and provide
day-to-day middleware operation support. Perform software installations and
upgrades to software packages.

Administer and maintain security of middleware applications. Troubleshoot,
analyze, and resolve issues.

Interface with vendor support teams and in-house support teams e.g.,
Network, Database Services, Infrastructure, as necessary.

Evaluate vendor products to make recommendations on which best meet company
and/or client needs.

Assist in the development of technical standards and policies.

Possess knowledge and experience in systems administration activities and
demonstrate moderate skills with a high level of proficiency.

Provide guidance and direction to the other middleware administrators and
application engineering teams in regards to best practices and assistance
with resolving system issues.

Required skills:



Hands-on design and delivery experience as well as expert-level knowledge
of middleware technologies on a design and delivery level.

Significant experience with Oracle Weblogic.Other middleware products are a
plus (e.g., RedHat JBoss Application Server).

Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and promote
customer interactions independently.

Ability to influence stakeholders and technical or business audiences.

Provides level 3 and 4 support (occasionally outside of business hours) for
projects and implemented applications.

Assists in the design and ensures projects meet operational requirements.

Maintains a proactive view on the performance of the middleware platforms.

Conducts performance analysis and tunes application to increase performance.

Plans, coordinates and responds to application outages.

Maintains version, patch and security levels, in accordance with the
strategic direction of the company.

Communicates technical and non-technical information to technical support
groups, customer support centers, senior management and vendors.

Develops and documents procedures, policies, and make suggestions to
increase efficiency and meet the needs of the business.

Plans, coordinates and executes change management processes.

Increases efficiency by designing and implementing best practices.

Tasked with finding opportunities for enhancements and automations.

Proven critical thinking ability to tackle tough problems in an innovative
way.



Job Requirements:



3 – 5 years basic system administration (RedHat Linux, Windows Server
preferred)

5 - 7 years Middleware Support (Oracle Weblogic Cluster, Oracle Weblogic
OHS)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work with minimum supervision.

Able to work under pressure.

Strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and be flexible to
changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
