*Location: Bloomington, IL Duration: 12 Months Rate: DOE *
Client is seeking an experienced LINUX Operating System Software resource
on the Enterprise Data Center migration project. Analysts fulfilling this
request will perform Linux OS admin tasks required by the project to
migrate Linux servers. The individual will be responsible for the
planning, consulting, technical analysis, and implementation of Linux
servers in the new data centers.
*Responsibilities: *
- Migration assessments, consulting, and implementation.
- Creation and updating documentation and support procedures.
- Working with areas to establish migration plans and schedule.
- Development and support of custom written LINUX scripts to support the
migration. Loading and configuring the Linux operating system using
client's process.
- Troubleshooting migration and environment issues.
- Work will require off-shift flexibility to implement during available
migration service windows.
* Required Skills/Experience: *
- Knowledge of Red Hat LINUX operating systems Knowledge of Red Hat
Package Manager
- Knowledge of Secure Shell Knowledge of Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of Logical Volume Manager
- Knowledge of KickStart and Foreman
- Knowledge of Puppet Critical competencies
