Developer will work on server applications to support Positive Train Control, a real time train control and monitoring system with a strong emphasis on message processing. We have positions at most skill levels, so we encourage you to present applicants with MORE than the experience described below, but not less. All of the skills and experience listed next are REQUIRED: · Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. · Design and develop programming systems making specific determinations about the system architecture · 3+ years of experience writing multi-threaded .Net C# applications for servers or APIs including use of LINQ · 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL experience. · 3+ years Microsoft ASP.NET MVC · 1+ years of verifiable experience developing multi-threaded applications in other environments. · Applicant must have a solid understanding of telecommunications and message processing protocols including HTTP/WCF, TCP/IP, Sockets, etc. The following skills and experience are desirable but not required: · Microsoft Entity Framework experience · MQ Series, BizTalk, RabbitMQ, AMQP experience or other message processing systems · Linux (RedHat) (gcc, binutils, and glibc at a minimum) / C++ development experience · Experience interfacing Windows software with embedded systems · Skills in Spanish are a plus. Vendor should include proposed bill rate for each applicant, which will be evaluated against their skills, experience and performance in the interview.
