*Responsibilities: * The Core VMware Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership for large, enterprise class, virtualization and consolidation projects. The Core VMware Architect will work in a team environment across multiple levels with other Architects as well as key Operations personnel, vendors, and with Executive Management. Partnering with the customer groups responsible for designing and deploying complex server virtualization projects, the Core VMware Architect will understand the overall technical direction of the client and ensure alignment with the solution being deployed. They will represent advanced technical capabilities available to customer management as applicable They will be responsible for insuring that the client’s architectural standards are understood by the Tower Leads and insure that the client’s architectural standards are appropriately implemented. *As part of the job responsibilities, Core VMware Architect will:* - Document “Best Practices” in developing and deploying VMware solutions. - Provide access into knowledge base of best practices. - Be responsible for Attending and contributing to regular meetings of client’s Virtualization Architecture Working Group - Effectively multi-tasks across multiple initiatives/projects with a high speed of delivery - Leads, plans and designs technical solutions that meet, or exceed, customer requirements and expectations - Troubleshoots and guides others on a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise. - Assess, design, plan, and implement complex virtualization/Cloud implementations and migrations for enterprise environments. - Engages, encourages and inspires colleagues and customers through a positive personal presence. *Relevant Experience (Yrs)* : *7+ Years industry experience in large enterprise solutions* *5 Years’ experience working in complex virtualization solutions in a VMware Environment* *Technical/Functional **Skills* : · *ESX, vSphere, vCenter, PowerCLI* · Experience with VMware products and VCenter components like Converter, Capacity Planner, HA, DRS, vMotion, storage motion ) · Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, VMM, and SCOM · Must have clear knowledge on ESXi installation, Patching and firmware updates through scripting · Must have the current knowledge of the entire VMware product line · Understanding of Networking highly desired · Must have knowledge in storage management · *Strong scripting skills required * · Must have strong Windows experience in AD and SCCM *Experience Required* : · *Must have recent “Hands On” VMware experience.* · Experience in architecting VMware based solutions. · Expertise in the administration and support of both physical and virtualized IT systems. · Experience from a project support perspective in application support during P2V conversions · *Experience in problem resolution* · Manage techniques for monitoring of the virtual system environment · *Expert at resolving performance issues*, · Familiar with performing capacity planning in a virtualized environment *Generic Managerial **Skills* : · Ability to work with business owners and technical specialist in: a) Assessment of applications to be virtualized b) Planning conversions c) Supporting system owners during and post migration · Strong interpersonal and presentation skills · Self-sufficient, independent and results oriented *Education/Certifications* : · Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent experience · Desired certifications in Virtualization: *a) **One or more of* *i) **VMware Certified Professional (VCP)* *ii) **VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)* *iii) **VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)* b) Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server Virtualization c) ITIL Foundation Certified d) TOGAF Certification desired, but not required. > *Amith Singh* >> > > *Sr. Recruitment Manager* >> >> *Zenith tech Solutions* >> >> >> *Fax: **518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> >> *3 park Hill* >> >> *Albany, NY 12204* >> *[email protected] <[email protected]>* >> > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
