Must have a CCIE certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) The environment is 99% cisco products/equipment 2. 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience and working knowledge of TCP/IP involving various routing protocols, e.g., BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF 3. 5+ years experience designing, implementing, and configuring Cisco network gear, LAN, WAN, MAN, and Proxy Servers * *Job Description:* Good Samaritan is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles. • Responsible for day to day support of the network, network switches, routers, and other network gear. • Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans for the network. • Design and implement network monitoring solutions for security, capacity, and performance. • Interface with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable network operation. • Secure network systems by defining, establishing, and enforcing policies while monitoring access. • Participate in software and hardware implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. • Investigate and resolve escalated incidents. • Create and update network topology diagrams and documentation. • Other duties as assigned. *Additional Information:* They have a new clinical hospital that will be open in June this year, a surgery center in December of 2017 and Disaster Recovery - Replicate data center project to be completed by June/July of this year. Education: BS Degree in a related field is desirable but not required. • Cisco CCIE is required. This role is mix of routine operations and network focused projects. Technical Environment: Cisco Data Center includes 320 Servers, trying to replicate environment to DC in San Antonio. Network is 1 site: 3 buildings in a one block radius. 6509 Cisco equipment.
