*Job Title: Application Packager* *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Type of hire: 6+ months contract* *Interview Mode: Telephonic and Skype* Application Packager – Skillset & Requirements · Minimum of 4 years of experience in package engineering, including knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards · Create scripted / engineered solutions for medium-to-complex issues according to specified requirements and design · Experience in packaging custom and OTS applications into MSI packages using InstallShield and/or Flexera AdminStudio · Design, build and deployment of engineered automation solutions · Automation scripting experience utilizing languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, Batch, or other scripting languages · A solid understanding of networking infrastructure and client side architectures, software lifecycle, and system design · Ability to create application documentation, defining configuration and troubleshooting knowledgebase of implemented automated solution · Experience and knowledge implementing application standards according to the defined Microsoft Windows Logo Standards · Extensive experience with application virtualization technologies such as VMware ThinApp · Experience troubleshooting and elevating registry and file system security through MSI in a locked-down client computing environment · Proficient in QA testing concepts: test planning, scripting, defect tracking, and resolution. · Participate in continuous improvement efforts within organization · Research and evaluate new testing technologies and tools · A solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP are required · Experience implementing and maintaining of company-wide desktop application standards and procedures · Excellent written, verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills · Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences · Understanding of project management methodologies and processes · Excellent time management and organizational skills · Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply them towards the investigation of existing installations · Ability to identify, research, and diagnose production problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems and application functions, outputs, and content · Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment · Create documentation of application and automation solutions · Manage daily medium-to-complex level production request of packaging, distributions, and audits · Manage various types of application initiates, upgrades and maintenance activities -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
