JOB SUMMARY – The SQA Analyst will report to the SQA manager, participating in all assigned activities related to the planning, coordination, execution and reporting of all test initiatives required to validate software applications. Team responsibilities will include: Providing testing baseline and LOE’s, all levels of testing, as determined by project needs, to include warranty and post release support. The SQA analyst will work closely with the project team to prepare and execute test plans and test cases/scripts, track test data, identify expected results and log/facilitate bug resolutions. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – 1. Execute and validate medium to complex projects performed through independent validation and verification of various IT systems. 2. Understanding and ability to support project delivery of Waterfall and Agile projects. 3. Review requirement specification documents to gain a functional understanding of the application(s). Participate in requirements meetings as well as Agile grooming sessions to verify the testability of requirements and user stories. 4. Identify, document, and communicate all issues discovered during test case creation and test execution following documented issues reporting procedures and processes. III. REQUIREMENTS – 1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer information systems or related area. 2. Minimum 4 years software testing experience. 3. Strong in Database Testing with a sound knowledge of Database concepts and proficiency in SQL scripting. 4. Experience in exporting/importing data from/to a database and analyzing external flat files. 5. Excellent working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL queries (Oracle, SQL Server). 6. Experience in Data Warehouse and services testing including exposure to testing of data warehouse / ETL loads and stored procedures. 7. Solid understanding of database, data mart, and data warehouse architecture, designs, and modeling. 8. Experience in using SQL in creating complex queries using joins, nested queries, aggregate functions, sub queries etc. 9. Experience with SSIS or other ETL processing tools. 10. Experience with testing Windows Software Applications / Database applications produced using Java, C, Oracle, SQL Server Automation experience. 11. Thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance and usability testing. 12. Able to write Functional, Integration and Regression test cases from the analysis of requirements document. 13. Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with different groups - application delivery, QA and business. 14. Familiarity using TFS for test management. 15.
