I think this issue and your other issue when clicking to view found records are the same thing, it should bring you to the new customer after you add them. It sounds like it's not updating the account number in the session cookie. Sometimes buggy versions of PHP have issues with that, though I've never seen it affect it this way. it's also possible that you have session cookies turned off in your browser, for instance IE might have them off by default under certain brower security levels. I would try telling the browser to accept session cookies in the browser preferences or maybe trying a different browser.
