Keith, I am currently using citrus to bill VOIP but not with Asterisk. I do not store the CDR data but I have written a module that takes a CDR import file and assigns the charge to the relevant customers as a total for billing. I have no need for the CDR records in Citrus as there is a web portal for people to check the call records. If you are interested I would be happy to chat to you and modify the module that I have to suits asterisk CDR records.
Cheers. I'd probably leave it alone unless you made a whole bunch of test data that is taking up valuable space. The tables to remove data from would be the billing table, billing_details, billing_history, any _options tables for services, customer, customer_history, payment_history, tax_exempt, and user_services.
