Hey everyone,

I'm having some problems getting mySQl setup for Citrusdb. I'm running OBSD
3.9 and I have php5 and mysql installed on the server. When I start the httpd
deamon I can reach the citrusdb login via IE6 however at the top of the screen
there is an error. The error is:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock'
(2)

Thing is that file doesn't exsist. I can't even find it on the sever anywhere.

When I look in /var there is a directory called mysql but the mysql.sock file
isn't there.
And when I look in /var/run/mysql the directory is empty.

when I type mysql at the prompt within the server I get the following error:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Keep in mind I'm very new to OBSD I've never really installed it before. I had
to get help from multiple people from multple places.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Brad
