There is a stable/maintenance version and an active development version. The version on citrusdb.org is 2.4.x that is the stable/maintenance version and there is a development version 3.0 that is not yet deemed ready for production. It has been refactored into an MVC framework and is under active development at https://github.com/paulyasi/citrusdb
