Hallo, a lokal owner of a café named "Zitherbäck" told me, that the founder of the café came from Vienna, 250 years ago, with a Zither on his back, riding a horse. I'm not sure, if the nowadays Zither is meant, because it came fashionable LATER in the 19th century, but this guy learned to play the "Zither" in 1755!!! And he carried it on his back. There are no pictures or drawings to help the theory, that he originally played a CITTERN. I don't have contacts in Austria yet. Can anybody help?
