Dear Martina and All:
On this subject, has anyone ever seen or made a copy of the guitar-shaped
cittern pictured in Praetorius's Syntagma Musicum?
Cheers,
Jim

Guitar-shaped cittern

Dear Cittern-lovers and -collectors,
Marcel Renggli, my Swiss contact is organizing an exhibition concerning
guitar-shaped Cittern. The Kriens-Cittern - guitar shaped and tuned in G -
was developed in 19th century in a cultural exchange with German
Waldzithern. www.halszither.ch
Marcel asked me, if I knew collectors with guitar-shaped Waldzithern, who
would kindly lend their instruments to the exhibition for three months in
autumn next year.
Is there anybody, who owns such an instrument and who would be so kind to
cooperate?
Thanks
Martina
