I wonder if there is a repertoire for these instruments? I know there are a few
fragments in tablature.

I'm at work at the moment but I have some vague memory of sa publication by
Bunsold, perhaps a collection of chorales, which may be for this instrument.

It's odd that this instrument was around c.1750s-1780s but the waldzither
instruments don't emerge until after 1800. Again from memory I think there may
have been a similarity (as well as the chordal tuning)between this kind of
arch-cittern and the waldzither in the way the strings fasten beyond the bridge
- to a circular or ring thing.

Also some books have illustrations of instruments just like this arch-cittern
but supposedly from the late 17th century. I wonder if that is just a mistake?
