Or Luca just wanted save a few bob and get an instrument that looked vaguely 
historical.

Either way doesn't interest me very much.
The original thread was about a arch cittern and Luca is not playing one.

Also was the corsican cittern tuned in either of Luca's tunings?
I doubt if it was tuned in "lute tuning" also is there any proof for a triple 
first course and all the other courses double.

I am sure Roman will find some obscure referance.............
