Well, you might try to reduce chapter by chapter.  Somehow you'll
probably reach a point where further reduction makes the problem
disappear.  Stop here and send us the remaining input file(s).

IIRC, I've never handled something in GBK, only GB 2312.

It doesn't exist.  I don't have the energy to convert it to LaTeX's
DTX format.  Volunteers welcome.
