Hi, Sandra,
We, in Boston really celebrate Independence Day with a passion. At
yesterday's dog show, many wore the red, white and blue; must say that
Janet York and Pippen were MOST patriotic Cavalier exhibitors with her
sequined star spangled vest and Pippen's Independence Day snood. Came
home to watch Keith Lockhart and our beloved Boston Pops spectacular on
the TV after the traditional New England 4th of July dinner (salmon,
fresh peas, baked stuffed quahogs, blueberry pie and ice cream).
As I do get the same emotional feelings as most who live here of pride
and the desire to see freedom continue to "ring", I very much appreciate
your post. One cannot forget the many who contributed so that we and our
children live in a free country with incredible rights and remedies. I
do hope, however, that the orginal indigenous Americans are not
forgotten on this day; we still have much to do to help remedy that
situation so that we can truly be proud.

Bicentennial Celebration!)
