Hi Glenn, IMHO, most vets don't really know much about nutrition and they tend to sell some of the worst foods (Science Diet comes to mind). Iams was sold a year ago or so, and I beleive the product has changed quite a bit. I used to feed my dogs Iams biscuits in the A.M. but since I've switched to Canidae Biscuits they will not touch the Iams. A friend of mine who was dogsitting for told me this. My dogs were at her house and she tried to feed the I ams biscuits she was using in her home but my dogs waited for her to give them the Canidae biscuits I'd sent with them. I personally feed a mostly raw diet but when I do supplemnet with kibble I use Canidae holistic kibbel. Here is a url so you can read about this natural food: http://www.canidae.com/ There are many other good dry foods on the market, however, Canidae, is consistently on The Whole Dog Journal's list and in the top four (sometimes they critique them). I think you are also on the CavaliersNaturally list if I'm not mistaken.
