Helen, this is so sad. I hope you are wrong that she's been abducted by
someone who doesn't know the difference between stealing, etc., and that
she will be returned to you soon. However, on another front I have to
tell you this:
I once had a dog stolen (a brittany spaniel mix) at a time when I was
living in a college town. He was a mixed breed and he meant a lot to me
so I drove all over that town, day after day after day. I finally found
him on the steps of a fraternity house, on the end of a lead held by a
stupid frat rat who had taken him from my yard and decided he should be
their mascot. I got him back that day. The idiot who had him on the
lead didn't appreciate at all that he was my dog, he just thought it was
a cute frat rat thing that he could manage to get such a good looking
dog for his fraternity house. He was a really gorgeous dog.
So don't give up your search. You might be as lucky as I was in
retrieving my dog from the hands of idiots.
I have fingers and toes crossed for you, this is so sad.
