are the most common, PRIME breeding days for your Cavaliers >>

hi diane,
i have found that between days 9-14 are usually then norm for all dogs. but,
there are alot of exceptions out there. i once had a bitch come here for
breeding that had to be bred on her first and third days in season and i have
one now that has to be bred starting on day 14-15. the most reliable way to
know when to breed is using a progesterone test that indicates the nanograms.
some people go by what the boys in the house tell them, but you cant always
go by that. i have also found doing vaginal smears is a waste as some
bitches will be 100% cornified and are not really ready to be bred for 4-5
days later. of course these are exceptions, but they do occur frequently.
