Dear e-list, As you may remember we were to fly to the Netherlands tomorrow to visit Cavalier breeders to hopefully find a puppy. Of course we do not know about the flying conditions yet so do not know if we are going. My husband is still in Alabama trying to get home. Until last year he had worked for ten years in that fatal wing of the Pentagon. He is trying to find out about his co-workers now but all lines to that wing are dead. I hate to fly more than anything but am resolved not to let the cowards who did this stop us from living so if planes fly tomorrow and he can get home tonight, we fly to Europe. In contacting one of our breeders, Hans Boelaars, to let him know of our plight, he replied with the following which I think we should all remember. Dear Liz, "ofcourse, I understand that you say it is an awful attack on your country, but to me it seems sort of shortsighted. it feels like an attack to the whole western world, this includes Holland and many other countries too !!!" He is right. I was shortsighted thinking only of us. We need to remember it is freedom for all countries that is at stake.
