Just wanted to touch base with everyone.
Terri, I'm thinking about you and your husband and grateful for our armed
forces ...
Phyllis and Cass, if there's anything from here that I can do to be helpful
please let me know. That goes for everyone else on the list too.
The air up my way, about 3 miles from the WTC, has a strong smoke odor
again. Stronger now than earlier in the day ... the wind must be blowing up
our way ... can't imagine just how awful it must be further south.
Not surprisingly, my vet didn't get in today, so I have no news about
Willie. I feel stupid even mentioning it, but it keeps us a little on
topic, and after our two legged loved ones, the four-legged ones are next
most precious.
Been involved with trying to help arrange temporary space for one of the
academic institutions here. The charitable organization that I am
affiliated with has already raised 15 million dollars ... otherwise I was
glued to the TV all day and dozing on and off, with Phoebe on top of me ...
everyone around here is pretty exhausted from the stress of all of this ...
and every muscle in my body is charlied out from carrying 30 or so pounds of
water and food yesterday. Guess I haven't been working out at the gym
enough ... :-)
