From what we can understand, two of the three who were detained were
released and one is still "being questioned". The bomb squad dog did
alert it seems. After the news was released it seemed to disappear. We
found ourselved surprised to see that local news here was not being
carried on national news very much. I suspect that the search up here
goes on without encouragement to media. This search and seizure was
conducted pursuant to information provided by a man who had a
disagreement with five people in a car at the airport. They found the
car which had arabic manuals in it; some say flight manuals. This
information lead them to several places; I suspect some of their leads
panned out and some did not. We don't know and perhaps won't for a
while exactly what is going on. It is too hard to panic the public; the
scene outside the Westin was very frightening. They seem clear that
there is a cell which has been working up here, but perhaps would rather
work in media silence for a while.........though we know of two more
locations at which there was frantic searching going on.
My son awaits any news of his friend who was ticketed (but cannot be
confirmed as boarding) on flight 11. I still wait to hear of my friend
in NY/Hoboken who is a nurse.........
and we pray for all whose lives have been shattered far more than ours.
