While it is tempting to give in to these rumors, I refuse to let these
people get to me. I have plans to travel by air in two weeks and I
intend to keep them. My best friend has plans to travel to Europe in
two days and she intends to keep those plans. I support her.
There are so many rumors being spread now, from unconfirmed sources, the
overwhelming majority of them unsubstantiated. The people who have
perpetrated these atrocities upon all people of free-thinking nations
are no doubt taking great satisfaction at the paralysis they hope to
cause us in the United States and elsewhere, all the way from panics
about food and gasoline supplies and the anticipated panics about air
travel. I for one will not give them the satisfaction.
Tomorrow there is a national memorial for our country scheduled to take
place. One person whom I spoke with today characterized this occasion
as national F--- You Day. I agree. Let's each and every one of us shoot
them the collective "finger" by flying the flag all day and by observing
7:00 p.m. ET as the time to light a candle, get out of your car and show
it, stop where you are walking and show it, step out of your home and
show it, wherever you are, light a candle and hold it up high. F---
these people!
