Jeanie,

I have given it some thought and will let their be some discussion of the
tragedy, but please remember that perhaps not in your country, but here in
the states the tv coverage is so consuming that it overwhelms people to
keep seeing these images over and over. There are a good number of list
members from the NY area and one of these members wrote a very compelling
letter to me asking if we could get back to discussing cavaliers as the
chaos surrounding her area and life was overwhelming to her. This list and
normal life routines can give some sense of security in the midst of choas.
Personally, I have family members in the metropolitan NY area and I am
feeling very overwhelmed by this tragedy. As callous as it seems and as
much as it helps some people to discuss things over and over, for others it
causes pain, so I am asking to try to keep this latter group of people in
mind when discussing the tragedy and unfolding events. It is not just a
matter of "telling" people to use their delete buttons. It a request to
respect the diversity of all of our list members, not just the small
minority that are regular posters. The tv does give us news coverage, so I
don't think that we need minute by minute updates, but perhaps some of the
personal victories thru this tragedy would be uplifting.

Sandra, congratulations on your litter! It is hard not to feel joy with
all of this saddness, but it is always wonderful to see new life coming
into the world...enjoy those babies!

Kindest regard,
Kim
