Hi,

My 10 year old's 4th grade class each wrote a poem of what the recent
tragedy meant to them and I just wanted to share what my daugther wrote.
It really surprised me to see the comprehension that even 10 year olds
have. We have family in the metropolitan NY area and the
highlight of visiting relatives or attending a dog show is going over the
Tappan Zee Bridge and seeing the skyline of NYC. It wasn't until we
explained to Courtney that those 2 tall buildings were not going to be
there anymore that she truly understood what happened as much as a child
can understand. I visited with a Cavalier friend in NJ this weekend and
the trip over the Tappan Zee bridge was a very sad one for me.

Here is her poem:

Heart Filled Emotions

My heart is filled with emotions.
Saddened for those who died.
Saddened for those who live.
My heart is filled with emotions.
Anger because they killed.
Anger because they hurt.
My heart is filled with emotions.
My heart can't explain.
I just can't explain.
