Wow, that's amazing. "Sneaky" isn't a word I'd use, you are too
polite, Pam!! I was just thinking that maybe it's time to re-kindle my
earlier plans to go to England, and I was getting all excited thinking that
if I could just get to Newark cheaply I'd be in great shape, lol!! (well,
okay, the airfare would be great, but *I* wouldn't be in great shape. Then
again 'round' IS a shape!) <sigh> So, how does United really justify
teasing people in this manner? How in the world can anyone have a
"surcharge" in an amount larger than the actual cost?
There is a lull between the end of the regular soccer (REAL football)
season and the start of high school and AAU basketball season, this
would be a great time for me to leave home for some fun, frolicking, and
perhaps puppy fetching in the UK!! I'm from Oregon, I could handle rain
and grey skies! Dang, d'you think if enough of us whined about their
"bate and switch" tactic we could finagle a deal? Do you think they'd
cave in if it was enough pressure and whining? I'd be more than happy
to act like one of my teenagers if it meant getting what I wanted - works
for them! Oh!!! Or how about just that big brown eyed look? Works for
the dogs!
