Hello Everyone -

I just had the most wonderful experience. Our local Dog Training Center
hosted a Canine First Aid & CPR Class. I have taken First Aid before,
but this is the first time I've ever had the opportunity to take CPR for
dogs. I was a CPR instructor for many years in the '80's and was always
curious if you could do CPR on a dog and how would it be done?. I was
pleasantly surprised to learn that the sequence is exactly the same for
a dog as for people - A-B-C - and the procedures are fundamentally the
same as if you were dealing with a child (depending on the size of the
dog, of course). So if anyone out there has ever been certified in CPR,
take a refresher course, because some minor things have changed and then
see if you can find a doggie CPR Class. It was well worth spending this
beautiful day inside!
