Dear Marilyn You probably know nothing about me either, as I'm new to this particular List, but reference to the aol Cavalier Boards or the Hoflin will show that I am a talkaholic, sharing my life in Plymouth, Devon (UK) with 2 Cavalier bitches, Victoria and Easter, who I bred. I had both their parents for show and breeding all their lives; they died at 15 and nearly 17 respectively.
I hope I have been fair and ethical in all my dealings with both dogs and people and have read your posting with some concern, as I am probably one of the first to admit that some UK dog people exported inferior stock (especially Cavaliers). I have always considered this wrong and try to intervene and put matters right if I feel it appropriate. Accordingly, I have e-mailed some internet friends in Devon, Liverpool and East Anglia to enquire whether they know these people or recognise the telephone number. I will also contact some others in Scotland and post to the breed boards in the hope that someone may have some information. I see that you give a telephone number. Do you want me to ring them and act like a dumb puppy buyer? Of course, if they are millers they may not be interested - do you think that is worth a try. It would also help if you could tell me whether a hometown was mentioned. Although the UK is not a large place compared with the US, it is a mass of small and large towns and villages. Do they originate in Ireland perhaps? Do you have any idea of a surname? Please get in touch asap.
