Hi List, Just wanted to give kudos to Pat Wells for organizing and managing the very successful COTW sponsored health fair that took place in Lawndale, CA yesterday. As I am a new Cavalier owner, I was eager to participate in this special event and so, in a weak moment, offered my help. Pat told me that over 60 Cavaliers were pre-registered and all showed up! Some showed up with as many as 8 Cavaliers from as far as Las Vegas! Everyone was enthusiastic (with one minor exception and we won't talk about that :-))with the chance to completely health test their dogs at really terrific prices, not to mention getting their teeth cleaned and finding out what their dogs really think about them (communicator). My puppy was eye tested normal, for which I was grateful; however, I wondered if there are many puppies that are not tested normal? We had 3 highly regarded vets in their field, a dental hygienist, a representative from Dr. Dodds to take blood, a rep from Avid microchip and an animal communicator. What a organizational feat! Also, special thanks to Dr. Michael Lesser, our favorite cardiologist, who allowed his hospital to be taken over by all of us. I had a really great time and am still exhausted. :-)
