We have a Dodge (second one in a row, we love them) and it works great. The
back seat is removed and stored, and we made a nice wooden shelf (about 4' X
4') or actually an open box with linoleum on the lower or floor level and
indoor/outdoor grey (the van is silver and grey insides) carpet on the top
layer. There is about 12" between the two pieces of wood. This leaves a
perfect place to lay the wheels and the xpans flat under the carpeted area
where the crates go. Because of the slick surface, it cleans easily from the
mud and grass the wheels and the pens get. We have room for 2 Whippet crates
and 2 Cocker crates and still have the 2 back seats and lots of room for
tack boxes, etc. The 1" X 2" uprights on the 4 corners and one in the middle
(on the side of the seats so that the pens, etc. don't come out and bang on
the seats) are painted a matching grey. It looks like a factory perk and
people have asked us about it.
