Yes, Rosemary I did speak of this a few years ago. I was in the class with Diane...I am the one who stood firm and refused to stack my dog (Nellie as a matter of fact, and my TJ was there as well.) I explained to him (about 4 years ago) that Cavaliers are shown free baited. After several minutes of berating me and seeing that I was not going to give in, he told me that I could do as I wished but I could be assured that I would not get very far in dog showing (I really should write him and tell him what became Nellie.) He was rude and cruel but I stood my ground. I had a quick and silent talk with myself, standing there in front of the entire group and debated giving in just to get him off my back. I knew I would never forgive myself if I allowed a bully to win. I knew I would not change him, but I could not allow him to change me. There was no point in my "learning" his way, since I find it appalling when I see others on their knees. It was quite obvious that he had no respect for me or anyone else who did not tell him how wonderful he was. No wonder Diane gave in and got on her knees. After seeing his treatment of me who would want to be subjected to the same. What bothered me even more was the fact that most of the other people there, some very nice people, stopped talking to me immediately. I was to be "shunned by all." These were people who obviously knew is would displease George if they were seen talking to me. He is a good teacher. There must be others who can do the job as well while still exhibiting respect for others having opinions too.
