Couldn't resist telling you about my experience with my "new" vet -- who's
now not my new vet! They have a big fancy office, with fancy equipment ==
after the behind-the-scene tour I was filled with wonder. Then I asked about
the cost to have Paisley given her first Rabies shot: $75. $75??????
Well, it was "only" $45 for the office call and "only" $30 for the shot (mind
you, I KNOW that the rabies vaccine costs $6 a dose)...If I wanted to have
the DHP (or whatever it is- can never remember) at the same time it was
another $65!!! I realized that SOMEONE had to pay for all the fancy
equipment...but it won't be me and my dogs!
Normal fees in the WNY Buffalo area:
Office exam: $35
Rabies $15 -- exam needed
DHP $15 -- exam needed
Dental $90 with iso
But no fancy equipment, no warmed surgical tables, warmed
post-surgical cages, just one nice vet that cares about animals.
