Myra and Laura...In my opinion, you are absolutely correct. I live near the Mexican border and have been on many camping trips to Baja over the years. There are "dingos" all over. Also, if you have ever seen photos of Native Americans in their native environment, you will see dingo looking dogs with them.
Dogs are not meant to have sweet plushy faces with melting dark eyes. We have fashioned them the way they are and Mother Nature is kept very busy trying to confound our efforts. Most are rangy, medium height, tail slightly over back and most interesting to me is the frequency of the "shepherds spots"-tan over the eye.
