I would be interested in knowing why in most breeds a stud fee of a proven CH stud is 
at least the selling price of a pet puppy and in many the stud fee would equal the 
price of a show puppy.  It sounds to me like Cavalier stud fees are not even half the 
price of a pet puppy. Why is that? Aren't our boys worth it?  

If you have a stud servicing outside bitches it is a lot of work. The household is 
disrupted for at least a week. It gets even more complicated if there isn't 
cooperation between the two or the bitch was sent late. Not to mention if you have 
more than one stud dog on the premises and your own bitch is in season etc. To top it 
all off, the stud gets the blame for everything that may not be perfect about the 
puppies. 

Any answers?
