Since Kathy has brought up the 2002 ACKCSC NATIONAL TROPHY AUCTION
AND DONATION, I would like to expound on this topic. MVD, as everyone will
agree, is top on the list for genetic anomalies in our breed. I am not
saying that the others are not important but MVD kills sometimes at avery
young age and others suffer with it for a long time. It is our intent to
give all monies to the Canine Health Foundation this year who will match our
dollar amount and start a research study in MVD for our breed. I know the
holidays are fast approaching but please take a minute to make a bid or
donation towards this important cause and mail your form, e-mail me or give
me a call with your pledge. If you do not have the money at present, just
indicate this and send it to me by January 30, 2002. The deadline is fast
approaching and I would like to see us all participate in this worth-while
cause. If you can not sponsor a class, please just make a monentary
donation with a request that it be put towards a certain class and I will
combine several donations to make up the sponsorship. This sponsorship will
include the ribbon, trophy and a commerative item will be given to the
sponsors. If you are at National, you will have your picture taken with the
recipient of the win/trophy. All people donating will have their names
included in the patron section of the catalog/premium list. If you would
like to make a donation and put itin memory of loved one human or Cavalier
please indicate this to me. Also, if you wish you can indicate that your
donation go only to the General Trophy Fund. We plan to keep everyone
updated on the bidding via the club website.

Lets make this make this National a spectacular event,as well as, the start
of serious research and study of Cavalier MVD.
